Tettenhall College Swim School

1. Cancellations

·   All swimming lesson cancellations must be submitted in writing.

·   To qualify for a full-term refund, cancellations must be made prior to the start of the term. Once the term begins you are responsible for the entirety of the term’s fees. Refunds requested after the term begins are at the sole discretion of Tettenhall College Swim School.

Notice of Absence

·   If a child is not attending a scheduled day on camp, parents/carers must email swimschool@tettcoll.co.uk to allow us to update records.

 

Sickness and Absences

·   Missed lessons due to illness or other commitments cannot be carried over or credited to the end of the term.

·   In exceptional cases, alternative lessons may be offered at the discretion of Tettenhall College Swim School, but this is not guaranteed.

Medical Conditions

·   Parents must declare any existing medical conditions that they are aware of that the child has which may be communicable or possibly be harmful or not to another person.

·   Parents must agree to inform Tettenhall College Swim School of any changes in any medical condition or psychological condition as soon as they are aware of them. All information will be kept strictly confidential,

·   It is at the swim school discretion to accept or refuse any child to join in classes.

·   Instructors should also inform us of any medical conditions they may have which could impact on their ability to teach.

Safeguarding

·   Tettenhall College Swim School has legal obligations in relation to safeguarding and any suggestion of child abuse or neglect will be investigated and reported to our regulator, or relevant local authorities and agencies.

 Personal Property

·   All property left in changing rooms, or on poolside, and all property (including prams) left in entrance halls or outside buildings are left entirely at the client’s own risk. This also applies to any property damaged during lessons. Tettenhall College Swim School cannot accept any responsibility for the loss or damage to any personal possessions.

 

Guidelines and Reminders

·   Children aged 8 and above, as well as adults, should not use changing rooms designated for the opposite sex. If a swimmer requires assistance from a parent or guardian, please inform the Swim School Coordinator.

·   Encourage children to use the restroom before lessons, and please avoid using shower cubicles for this purpose.

·   One-piece swimsuits are recommended for children, as two-piece suits can cause difficulties during lessons.

·   To minimise disruptions due to illness, ensure children refrain from eating at least one hour before their lesson begins.

·   Swimming nappies are not permitted in the pool as they interfere with the chemical balance of the water.

·   Swimmers should not enter the pool until the teacher says it is safe to do so and must tell the teacher if leaving the pool before the end of the session. 

·   Swimmers should not run on the poolside

·   Swimmers should remove loose-fitting or sharp jewellery

·   Abuse to any member of staff either verbal or physical will not be tolerated. Tettenhall College has a responsibility for ensuring the well-being and safety of all children in our care and to maintain a positive and respectful environment. The College follows a zero-tolerance policy on discrimination, bullying and persistent poor behaviour of any kind, irrespective of any special needs.
